Hi, I've been a member for awhile but have never posted mainly because I did not have anything to say. I have recently bought a 1978 400 which hopefully does not need too much work. I had three 250 SD's (so I treated myself to a 400) during the late seventies through the mid eighties that I used to commute to work on and they never really let me down. In those days it never occurred to me it would be a hobby but I'm having great fun riding bikes just for the enjoyment.

Yes I bought from Vernon. Collected it late August and rode home to near Wellington about 200 miles. bike went well but a tad high fuel consumption which maybe down to carb cleaning and balancing.

Great stuff, I recall this bike has a very early VIN number, Mike.
I think one of the earliest surviving CB400N (by VIN rather than reg date).
