Hello everyone. Im russell originally from uk but emigrated to canada. Whilst in the uk i owned 3 superdreams over the years progressing from a real battered one to avery clean lean silver one and then a pretty mint black one. They were my every day rides at except the black one. I let them all go for pretty much next to nothing and regretted it since. I got bigger 4 cylinder bikes after that but as i look back none had the genuine charm of my cb250n's. Thats the back story ! However, you may or may not know that over here in canada the european styled superdreams were called hawks with some minor differences, these are not to be confused with nighthawks which were like a custom and not to my taste. They sold zillions of nighthawks but very few hawks. I say all this because the bike i have just acquired is not called a puritan superdream but is pretty much the same in large part. Although i respect your guidelines and will get my coat if you feel im an imposter of sorts...... Despite this you may be still interested about my bike. It is a 1982 cb450t hawk, it was produced for one year only, and was built in japan (not brazil lol) it was an rebore of the cb400t hawk, but everyone is cruiser crazy here so didnt sell many. This bike i bought of the original owner from new and has only covered 5600 kms. It was last used in 2011. I didnt pay much for it, i feel due to the general lack of interest in these bikes, but feel pretty chuffed in both finding it and saving it from probably be broken up.Im in the process of recommissioning it. Im very much an amateur mechanic but i got the service manual so no excuses. So there you have my little story hope you like my pics, apologies for the pure quality !

When you had your SDs in the UK I see you gradually improved the selection until you got to the Ultimate choice a Black one which you will discover on this forum is what all its members yearn for!

Thank for the comment, frustratingly i doubt i will to be honest, apart from the atc that is, theres a foot of snow on the ground here. Plenty more usually to come too. Plus they dont salt the roads only plough. It can drop on occassion to -40c cureently -14 with wind chill. So be quite a number of months yet ! However, im not totally mad the summers here are amazing, i can genuinely count on 1 hand how many days of rain we had over around 5-6 months. It can also get up to +40c. Its a totally unique climate but also very dry so despite this the temperatures do not quite feel as extreme as they they sound. Indeed its quite deceptive and you have to be careful either season.!
