I would think that the bay is a good source for fakes, but they can turn up anywhere, I`d think its a safer bet buying from reputable dealers though.
Saying that, I bought my last set from a bike shop on ebay and they are genuine according to the link above

aye they are clever Nick, but how far can we innocent buyers go to be certain that they are the genuine item? we can only go by what ngk are saying and hope for the best..

In what way does a fake plug perform do you think?
Is it that that they just don't work at all or do they die quicker?

Looking at the pics of holed pistons they are probably running hotter than they should and maybe causing pre ignition.

I do wonder whether these reports of plug gaps closing up are down to these fake plugs being longer than the proper NGK....

Fake's simply don't work on silver bikes. They don't get on well with the nitros and afterburners. Any other colour SD and to be fair, you probably would not be able to tell the difference.  |
