Had a spare few moments yesterday evening, so decided to crack on with the model. Front forks, wheel, mudguard, yoke, handlebars and instruments today: Had to fit the front wheel first and then glue (with superglue) the mudguard in place. If it was done the other way around, you wouldnt get the wheel onto the spindles! Then I found I needed 3 pairs of hands to assemble the forks to the headstock and mount the yoke and instrument binacle to the forks and headstock top whilst at the same time using the superglue applied with a cocktail stick to hold it all together - without gluing it all to the headstock!!!
We got there in the end...........

Building this has certainly brought it home to me how bad my eyesight has got over the last few years. As I get older, it seems I am getting more and more long-sighted. I am now having to wear a headband with magnifying lenses attached, otherwise the parts and the model are just a blur!!!
I have to wear reading glasses for computer work etc. but even these are no good for the fiddly work needed on this model....
But I am enjoying it though!!!

Looks great Carl me too.theres not a chance in this world that I could build that, after the first ten mins the parts would have been beaten that small, that you would have to change the bike to a dax 50 monkey bike LOL

Not ignoring anybody - sorry chaps.....bit busy of late. Only managing to pop in now and again...
In answer - No, not yet finished you Cheggy. It is sat on the bookcase in the lounge at the moment. I keep telling myself I must finish it, but just havent got around to it.
I am going to have to soon though, as I seem to be collecting un-made kits at the moment. I have 2 SD kits, a CBR1100XX Blackbird, about half a dozen different boats (most radio controlled) and a 1:24th scale Neoplan coach. Plus the r/c kits I am designing at the moment.....
OH, and Flo has just pointed to the top of my wardrobe were lies some 15 or 20 different aircraft and railway modelling kits........
I think I need to visit the ebay sellers page.............
