Hello Honda fans, I currently own a 1978 CB250T, aka. Dream. I know a lot of the engine parts are interchangeable between the 250N and 250T's , but both models are quite rare in my country. My bike has a quite worn camshaft and rockers, so I have been trying to find a spare set for a couple of years. The previous owner has ridden the bike with some of the oil channels blocked by a custom-made gasket, so the parts wore out quite badly before he realized it. Last week I found a camshaft and a full set of rockers on the internet in a quite good condition, but the owner said they are from a CM400. I have compared the parts numbers on cmsnl and they are different. But the parts themselves seem to be identical with the ones I need. Should I buy the camshaft and rockers and try to install them, or they are different sizes from the ones for my model? Thanks a lot for your answers. EDIT: Here are the parts I am comparing: www.cmsnl.com/products/honda-cm400t-1980-usa_14420413315/#.Vdmjbpd21ko and www.cmsnl.com/products/honda-cb250t-1-1978_14420414305/#.VdmjdJd21ko

Cylinder head has no bearings, the camshaft just lays on it. Still, no marks/shavings (sorry for my bad english) on camshaft bed and camshaft ends. The camshaft doesn't "wobble" when freed from the tension of the chain and pushed downwards at any of its ends. It seems to be laying good, just the humps that push the rockers have lost its proper angle. Hope you understood me :-) Well, shipping costs from ebay will be too high. I live in Bulgaria and shipping is twice as much as the cylinder head you've linked.

Thanks a lot, rich. Are the camshafts of cb250t and cm400 interchangeable? I have a spare set of rockers, which are not too worn. I thought it would be better to put the rockers from cm400 in together with the camshaft from it, but if they are different sizes, I could go with the camshaft only. Given it fits, of course...

250 and 400 camshafts are quite different and not interchangeable. Both valve timing and lift are not the same between the 2 bikes. In fact there is a bewildering array of different camshafts for these bikes as the reduced power versions of both 250 and 400 achieved some of the power reduction by limiting valve opening by different camshaft profiles.
Best stick to original or swap like for like....
