It's good to see your good lady getting on two wheels Paul and it will be good you have an interest you can both share, it's always good to see new blood coming into the biking community.

Thats more like it Paul I thought the first one seemed a bit abrupt (hope she learns to pick her feet up soon or she'll bankrupt you with new shoe leather. ) Watching her does bring back memories of long ago on my mates old BSA C15 only I had no helmet cos I did'nt need one When I done my A2 test last summer I practised on my SD400NA in a yard and had everything perfect cones and all, then the day of the progressive access module I turned up in my van at the centre to do the test on their BMW 650 GS/Rotax as arranged, I put all the leathers on in the car park, but decided to leave my biker boots in the van until I was ready to get on the bike and so I walked the distance of a hundred metres into the office in my runners. The tester gave me a big lecture on the dangers of runner laces (or shoe/boot laces) getting caught in pegs and this causing an accident. He was the sort of guy who could not be interrupted, I had to wait until the end of his lecture and telling off before I could tell him my boots were in the van and I had every intention of putting them on before getting on the bike.

Yes Terry, next session will cover off getting the feet on the footrests and the bike up into 2nd gear. But it was strange that she could trickle along at a walking pace quite happily- it's the slow speed stuff that usually seems most difficult to master! I quietly ordered a set of pattern levers in case of early mishaps...
The YBR125 build quality is not too bad, but they are all made in China now anyway! The Chinese of course are past masters at reverse engineering and copying, so alongside this bike in the showroom I could have had a brand new no-name copy for the same price. Or at least the guy said it was made in the same factory as the YBR125's. The pressure was to buy this new "identical" bike, but the wind taken out of the sales spiel when I pointed out the YBR was fuel injected and his identical bike appeared to have a conventional carburettor fitted.

The bike looks great Paul and your good lady looks fab on it, it fits her like a fine shoe. Good luck to her on her learning, she will love it and it will bring a big smile to your face seeing her progress, it does with me with Rona. Hopefully see you all soon, Espace should be all fixed soon and then caravan-ing time with the bikes in the back, so will make one of your meets for sure. Should be sorted for the Old Selby meet, now Eagle I believe for the FS1e, not sure but hoping Tom's SD will be going by then. If not, we will take the 400SF. Slange. Gee.

Be good to get the Scottish contingent down Gee- I take it the old Eagle Fizzy meet is at Squires this year? Do the SD's have an invite?
I for one also wonder what progress you have made on Tom's SD as it was intriguing that he could never get it to run correctly....

Couldn't find anything out about the Eagle meet Loz, just the Northern one at Sherburn. but I see there is a couple of different Fizzy websites/forum/outfits out there.
We do need some rideouts/meets I think.....

I'd be inclined to agree re:meets.
Can we start throwing some ideas around?
Would be good to have something planned - reasonably central for everyone.
