Any recommendations, are any particular ones better than others?

I like the Brituro ones- and I think Silvers ones are from the same place? I don't think alignment problems are down to the silencers anyway- check out this thread and then the one I linked to from it. I compared Brituro against the OEM Honda.... honda-superdream.co.uk/thread/4385/pattern-exhausts

I've aquired a couple of pairs of used Brituro silencers over the past year, they seem quite well contructed, one set are sparkling, but the second set had been painted black by the seller, although sound, apparently the chrome was no longer pretty, no idea how long they had them, so cannot make judgement on the chromes longevity.
Havn't come across any I don't like (yet).

Hi. I have just checked where I bought mine from and it was BSA111. I do not know if the original exhaust brackets will fit correctly as I made my own from stainless steel. The issue that I had was that the lefthand silencer bracket for centre the stand buffer was too far to the rear and I had to mount a stop on a strip of stainless steel to prevent the stand hitting the silencer. A bit difficult to explain but I could post a picture if it would help. Good luck. Mike.

I know what you mean mike, when I get my engine back in I'll see how they line up on mine.

Mike are you using a standard collector box or an H one?

I'll have to look at mine tonight, they are still in the box. I can't remember whether there is a bracket for the stop on them or not.

Hi Dave. Mine had a bracket for the stop, but it was 50mm too far to the rear, as far as I can remember. Mike.

This is all a little bit disturbing as I was about to purchase a set of these for 99 quid off ebay. (BSA111)
Are we sure that the side stand stopper is not in the right place and if so, has anyone taken it up with them as to me this is a bad feature.
I've fitted non-Brituro pattern silencers before (I used to get them from the now defunct Bike Business in Portsmouth) and they fitted extremely well. What I liked about the BB ones is that they were totally unbranded - no BS marks nothing and I like that. I am pretty sure they may have been made by Hi-level which was always good gear.

I wonder if the Brituro have changed then? GRT definitely had them fitted when I got the bike and these would have been a couple of years old. When I replaced them with the Honda items I first tried just undoing the balancer box clamp and hanger bracket? The Brituro slid out and the OEM silencer slid back in without having to undo any balancer box bolts or header clamps. The footrest rubber lined up perfect too, although I had to replace it as I mangled it getting it off the Brituro's.... I only removed the balancer box because I was replacing the front header clamps...
