Me too and I have one in my collection. But for me it's the LCD's especially Seiko, maybe because I had one back in the day. Love the design, that said, period analogue watches have a certain charm as well. I guess I just love watches!

I developed a lump on my right wrist a few months ago, it was called a ganglian sist or something like that, I think it was caused by lubricating fluid from the wrist joint leaking out. I was looking for a watch with a very wide 2 inch wrist band to wear over it to cover it as it looked quite weird, it was like a large marble. I went into every watch shop in Dublin looking for those 2 inch wide leather straps that look like a belt to hold up jeans but no luck. A few weeks ago I tripped in the garage and saved myself by putting my right arm out hit the wall first. The syst hit the wall and disappeared, I don't know where it went but the is not a trace of it now!

i used to like the led watches as well. In the early 1980s the manager of a shop I worked in (KEYMARKETS grocery store) had a watch just like this one and we all thought it was fantastic but looking back it was a crazy design as when you looked at it there was no time displayed until you pressed the button on side & then it lit up like the photo above ! very nice BUT and it's a big BUT in the instructions it stated that under normal use you were not supposed to check the time more than 8 times a day or the battery would run down very quickly , so I'm not surprised this type did not last

Interseting that, check out Grand Seiko mechanical movements. They are supposed to be superior to even the finest Swiss movements including Rolex. Seiko wristwatches are arguably the most under rated watches ever produced. I have severel over 30-40 years old and still going strong, one in particular has had a very hard life but keeps great time and it's 34 years old. I've just sent it away for a birthday so it'll probably see me out! Gotta love Japanese workmanship, they don't just make great bikes it seems..
