I had an old Francis Barnet, 197cc Villiers engine, got it about six months before my 16th birthday, stripped all the tinware off and put ace style bars on and a racer style seat. Thought I was the bees knees first time I took it to school;D ;D
Happy days

A mate of mine had a Puch Maxi which he also rode to school - YDP 8J.
The stand was broken but I remember he used to prop it up with the pedal on the kerb.
We were never part of the smart scene (AR50 and TS50X) etc......thank god.

I was never part of the smart scene either, but after my year left school several of them turned up on mopeds which brought us together as friends
