Hey Ian, How was that nos CB250NA tank in the end? Was the rust damage something you can easily sort? Pics would be good when you can.

Sorry for the delay Nick, the tank is really good, the rust is fairly insignificant in that the affected area is on the corner where the side panel attaches. The tank itself is unaffected. I'll upload pics shortly to show you what I mean. I've treated the area with kurust for the time being so no dramas. It was a rare find and I was very lucky to get it for the money I paid (£78) if I recall correctly. It is a thing of beauty. It even came with a NOS fuel cap and locking catch but that had surface corrosion. It was my best find to date..

Hey Ian, I bet that feels good having found the right tank at last. I remember you bought a NOS Deluxe tank from Germany about the same time I got the Silver Deluxe tank. Pleased for you mate

Cheers lads, tbh I'll use the deluxe tank as a rider and the genuine one may never see fuel! Just used for effect..

Looks like an absolute bargain that thanks Chris, it was indeed. I have a nice early red NOS tank which wouldn't look out of place on your kicker if you ever feel the urge...

I'll bear that in mind - cheers Ian I had my eye on a spare for mine that I was going to strip down and spray up, but I got pipped at the post... The one that's on is bob-on (has a tank guard fitted, which I keep toying with removing, but it does serve a function by stopping my jacket zip scratching it...), but I wouldn't mind a spare to use so I can keep the original wrapped up safely in storage

Pleased for you too. I remember this one also. Keeping my eye out for similar to put fuel in and be the cherry on the icing!

Tricky? Didn't you step aside and let me win it? If so, huge thanks. Another one will surface in time. Everything does eventually. Just a rear wheel now and it's job done.
