Joe Bar Team is/was a French comic strip with it's main characters being a group of motorcycling friends who frequented a Parisien bar run by 'Joe'. Their sole reason for living was bikes and seeing how fast they could go - usually around a 'racetrack' fashioned on the streets of Paris centred on the bar. The comic strips told their story and all the scrapes and mishaps they got up to - a bit like a French Ogri (if you remember him from the UK 'Bike' magazine! Here is my diecast collection of the main characters from the books with their bikes: Mike Hamshaft - Honda CB750 : Denis Deljette (Stroker) - Kawasaki 750H2 : Andy McCannick - Norton 850 Commando : Dom Esdromico - Ducati 900SS : Joe (the owner of the bar) - Moto Guzzi California : Le Filck!!! A Parisien motorcycle cop whose whole reason for being is to catch and prosecute the Joe Bar Team. So much so that he has had his standard issue BMW police bike upgraded by a back-street tuner!!!! : Unfortunately for non-French speakers, only the first album is available in English - all the others are only in French...... Au revoir!!!!!!

Hi Steve - No mate, no cartoon ones as yet.
I was hoping to pick up a cartoon version of the green Pan European but they went a bit scarce on the bay and those that did come up were asking silly money.
Not too fussed about the cartoon versions really - there are so many of them - but I do like the detail on these versions!!!

They look like a friendly bunch of nutcases.
In a way, we are like them (or they are like us)..
