Thanks guys- having inspected my seat and found it quite tatty, I've bought a s/h Sitzbank on German Ebay which will come with the aforementioned chainlink fence type parts. Might be a good seat base up for grabs soon....

We're all friends here old boy, and as often happens with friends the conversation can drift from time-to-time. I feel it gives the place a friendly, social vibe, as oppose to a sterile environment
