getting ready for the dark nights first job make room for the poorly a10 the a10 plunger waiting for parts superdream brake calipers rebuilt fitted front brake still spongy will let it stand bleed again tomorrow.so i stripped down the yam xs650 ready to cut off the parts of the frame i do not need decided to go with the dirt track stile .all bolts out went to lift it out.the f*****g thing was laughing at me, good thing when i worked for mining services lifting gear was readily available, yamaha did not skimp on steel on these lumps,that's the easy bit there will be a day its got to go back

once took the engine out of an xs250 that I broke for spares (only way to get my money back on a bad buy) and the only way I could shift it on my own was to tip the frame on its side a bit and literally kick it out, it was a heavy little pig of a motor. I can only imagine how heavy the 650 version is

Some years back I took the engine out of my CB750KZ. Got it out ok, and into the back of the car, then took it to work to rebuild. Carrying it up 2 flights of stairs to the office did my back in. Lost interest after that, got shut of the bike & went back to 2 cylinders from then on. Will avoid XS650s though
