As some of you may know, I recently sold one of my newer bikes and have a reasonable wedge of cash looking for another classic. I have been looking for a while and watch quite a lot of bikes, but in the last three weeks, I would say 70% of the bikes I am watching are not selling/not meeting their reserve. These are bikes that have traditionally been in demand (Suzuki 2 stroke triples, big Japanese 1970's four potters, etc), the prices are sometimes high, but in the region of what I might expect, yet they are not selling....
Just wondering if anyone else had noticed and if perhaps the market was softening?

One word.... Bregzit. People are in an uncertain state of mind methinks. The politicians are certainly in uncertain state of mind, perpetually now it would seem...they have even forgotten that they are supposed to be running the country it would seem.

Well now, Brexit seems to have calmed down a bit, the water muddied with thoughts of a new prime minister, general election and another referendum. I am just confused by it all and don't mind admitting it. As for bike prices, peaks and troughs, a bit like house prices. At the end of the day, something is only worth what someone else will pay for it. Just my thoughts. Mike.

Most people are probably short of cash, the incomes haven't gone up with inflation over the past few years.
And most people seem to buy more or less everything on HP

Projects are doing well and depends were you are in the country. At the beginning of the year had a bike on your favourite auction site for 3 weeks plenty of offers mainly from dealers telling me these bikes are s**t and nobody wants them, took it to my son in Manchester 2 days on the auction site sold.my lad said he gave it a run up and down the street and wants it,told me over the phone he had seen the bike but to fare away to see it.at the present time lots of classic bikes on the market and the manufacturer's now making retro bikes sometimes cheaper, and classic bikes are toys so people's disposable income is a big factor, if you are in to classic bikes to make some wonga you will be disappointed. unless you know were a rgs, Vincent brought,or pre 1920 bike some one wants getting rid of I will be straight round .
