Hi All.
A question about the engine breather pipe from the rocker box cover.
On my Nc the engine breather pipe goes from the stub on the rocker cover to the stub on the air box .(venting into the air box)
On my Na the engine breather pipe from the rocker cover is routed down to the bottom of the engine (venting to air) and the stub on the air box is blanked off. (so stub was in use at this time)
can anyone give me an idea of the thinking behind this please
Many thanks Graham

All down to the emmision standards it had to meet at the time in the various markets I believe , so the early ones vented to atmosphere and the later bikes had the rocker cover pipe directed to the airbox so they "at their own" fumes .

Hi Bojer I was wondering . When I rebuild the engine and install it, if I run the breather pipe into the air box what effect if any it would make to the carburetion .

As wild guess I wouldn't expect it to make a lot of difference (any?) to the jetting , suppose you could compare part numbers of a bike each side of the change on CMSNL ? FWIW I think I'd prefer it vented to the outside world , environmental considerations aside
