Lovely looking bike Ralph. The exhaust is interesting. I went a similar route with my 400N to avoid the hard to find heat shields, but I couldn't find an exhaust extension/kick-up with the right configuration for the Superdream silencers. I ended up getting Dunstall type silencers which clamp onto the exhaust rather than the SD silencers which are clamped into the exhaust (collector) .Mine also don't kick up as much, so the silencer sits a bit lower at the rear. Don't suppose you know where those extensions came from?

Nice photos - thanks for sharing.
Looks to have had an engine swap at some point if it's a 250N-A (has a kickstart).

Sorry I don't know where the exhaust kick up connectors came from (I might put the original balance box back on, but I quite like it as it is) The frame and engine numbers don't match so it may well have had a new engine! The problem with this bike is it has an oil leak - I suspect it is either a gasket or (probably more likely?) the engine bolts have been replaced incorrectly (seal problem). Either way, the head and barrels are coming off...

Engine number starts 20.... Frame 21...? As the reflectors on the side of the headlight, is a 'N' configuration as well...At my local motorcycle shop, the owner worked on SDs when they were released, always Say's the kickers were the fastest ...( as well as it being silver)

Mine did , lost a little on the top end but still plenty of torque all the way up to the legal limit and quite a bit beyond (400 cc )

So this bike of mine is actually a 1980 CB250N (not N-A) which appears to have the correct engine (kick start) ...as well as the correct colour - silver !
